Kenneth [rank?] was the seventh child born on Febrauary 21, 1923. He, like three of his brothers, went to war in the early 1940's. Early in 1945 he sent a postcard to his little sister, Lynette. On the front of the postcard was a boat; the postcard was captioned "Rendez Vous." The message he wrote said, "Rendez Vous is French for 'going somewhere.'" He was trying to convey to the family that he was being shipped out to France. Just weeks before the Allied victory in Europe it is believed that Kenneth was killed by Nazi machine gunners. His death was reported on April 4, 1945. Lois' notes say that he was killed in Germany, but Lynette always said he was killed in France. He was eventually buried close to his baby sister, Sylvia, in the Mount Union Cemetery.
